I have a got a 4.14Kg (9.12lb) BEEF POT ROAST with the BONE IN.
I thought I would cook it in the slow cooker but it does not fit.
:(
Please give me recipes that I can use to cook this thing.

Foods I have on hand are:
cauliflower, red pepper, broccoli, carrots, celery, lemon juice, 1/2 bottle red wine, apples, mushrooms, eggs, milk, lots of different canned beans (kidney, chick peas, black beans), garlic, most spices (curry, oregano, thyme, cayenne, paprika, etc), quinoa,
rice (brown and white)
I don't have potatoes or cheese.

I would also love suggestions for side dishes.
And I like the idea of making some sort of beef curry with this pot roast.
:)
Thanks
:)

put it in the oven, with a low heat for hours and hours, maybe make a casserole with your veg and red wine
cut up your meat and add your veg and wine and cook for a few hours
add some curry powder if you want to make curry! add some chick peas, they love being curried

You can spice it like you would if you put it in the slow cooker, only put it in a baking pan lined with foil, add your liquid and tightly seal with foil paper. Cook for 3-4 hours at about 325 degrees. I'd probably add the cauliflower, broccoli, carrots and celery the last 1/2 hour or so. Carrots and celery should probably be the last 40-60 minutes.

For curry, you could cut into small chunks, and brown them with some chopped onion in a little olive oil. Then add beef broth or water, and spice with salt, pepper, paprika and curry to the spiciness you want. Let it simmer for about 2 hours until the meat is tender, stirring occasionally so it doesn't stick to the bottom. Thicken with a little flour and water mixture and serve over rice. I like my curry with chopped boiled eggs, nuts and coconut on top of it. Others also like chutney and onions on top. I usually just put out bowls of the toppings and let folks pick their favorites. A nice side with it would be a salad, or maybe some broccoli/cauliflower with a little butter and parmesan cheese.

Cut around the bone, or cut it into serving sized pieces. It'll be fine. Add mushrooms to the roast after it is almost done. Don't forget to use seasonings. Steam some broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. Serve rice as your starch and make gravy from the drippings.
You'll have a great meal. Can't hurt to use about a cup oof that red wine in the roast.

Cut out the bone or cook it in the oven. 4 hours at 325 out to do it.

If it doesn't fit... cut it so it DOES fit.
