I know you can gag, it's something foriegn in your mouth, however in all do time you'll over come this and when you think u
can try wearing them to bed at night.
I remember when I got them I couldn't eat with them! It took a month or 2 for me to adjust, but soon the gagging will stop and u
will wonder what the fuss was all about and carry on the norm.

Best of Luck,

Concentrate on relaxing your throat. Leave the partial in and you will get used to having it there. You have a very sensitive gag reflex, so when anything new is introduced in your mouth, you automatically gag. Leave it in for a while and see if your mouth adjusts.

THE METAL FRAMEWORK PARTIALS ARE UNCOMFORTABLE.
HAS YOUR DENTIST EVER THOUGHT OF A THERMOPLASTC RESIN PARTIAL DENTURE CALLED A VALPLAST?
MANY PATIENTS ARE SO COMFORTABLE WITH THEM WHEN THEY WEAR ONE OFTEN TIMES THEY EVEN FORGET THAT THEY WEAR ONE.
ALL PARTIALS MUST BE REMOVED AT NIGHT WHILE SLEEPING, BUT BECAUSE THEY'RE SO COMFORTABLE TO WEAR MANY PEOPLE FORGET THEY HAVE THEM ON.

If you can't become accustomed to partials, implants are an expensive solution.

maybe you should go back to your dentist and ask for somthing that wont make you gag.Or maybe it is just too big for your mouth.
