I'm 15 and I live in Toronto, Canada and I want to go to UNC or Duke in North Carolina for university when I'm older, on a student visa, but I want to stay in the US once I'm finished there. Am I able to do that? Because I asked someone here and they said once I'm done university in the US on a student visa, I have to go straight back to Canada. So it's impossible for me to stay after university and get permenant residency / green card and get a job? Because I would rather live there than here in Canada, I really like it there and I want to live there.

** I understand about a company sponsering me, but what if I wanted to open up my own business? Also I have relatives who live in Raleigh, NC (aunt+uncle and cousins), so could they sponser me as family?
