I'll be getting a 6 week old jack russell (male) and im wondering what are some good names (besides jack)!

don't expect to name him right away. play with and get use to him for a few days. then think of something that may remind you of his personality. or if you have a favorite character in a book or movie, you could name him after them. you may come up with several names before you find one that just fits.

A dog should be 8-10 weeks old minimum before leaving his mom and littermates. You may have health and behavioral problems otherwise.
As for the name, I like Winston.

I named mines Bobby but after a week I realized I shouldve named it Scrappy of Killer due to its traits so you should wait a week too.

You could wait for a few days to see his personality, and when you see it, name it after it. I would like Jake or Jacob.

Ours is Jester because he is very entertaining....I would check out his colors, attitude, personality and other factors and go from there. Good Luck and Congrats!
