We only went out once and talked for a few weeks, but I'm just not feeling it, and she's no calling me or anything anymore. I don't know if I have to really end it or just let it go, but I was thinking of saying this. By the way, we work together about once a week. I'm 20 and she's 19

"Hey, look um... I've kinda realised that I only like you as a friend. I just don't feel anything between us. I don't want any bad blood between us or anything, so I was hoping we could still be cool."

If she's not calling you she might feel the same, but you might just say.....lighten it up a bit by stating, you know it was cool getting to know hanging the last couple of weeks, not often you find a Friend you can just hang with.. ...I've just been real distracted with things lately...so hope to chat with you at work. If you don't make it obvious the chemistry's not their the friend comment can take care of it without stinging.

From what you've written it seems your making too much of it. You went out once, she has shown no further interest, just let it go. Why worry about something that didn't mean much to start with?

You are putting too much thought into this. She has already made up her mind that she is not interested in you. Obviously she feels the same way, so a "speech" is not in order. When you see her, just be social.

That sounds like a good speech.

" I think it would be best, if you and I took a break from each other. Don't get me wrong, you are an amazing girl, and you have so much to offer, its just that, I need to get myself together. I don't want to pull you back from anything. So what do you say?"

That's appropriate, but if she doesn't even talk to you that speech may not be necessary. Remember it, just in case you ever need it in the future.

that sounds good. you may wanna change the subject after a slight pause, though. say something to make her laugh to show that you still wanna be friends with her.

no that's not what you say. this is my area. check this out. tell her that you feel as if things aren't really working out for y'all. tell her that you have some issues that you have to work out with yourself before you are able to date. also tell her that it hurts you to break up with someone like her but it wouldn't be fare to her for you to continue to date her when you know that you cant give her 100%. I think you should do this over dinner. take her out to eat. I bet you are wondering why you are going through all of this. its simple dint you want to get in her pants? one last time?????

Very quick and to the point. I'm certain she will respect you for having the backbone to approach her with this.
