No, I wouldn't use any kind of perfume or cologne that is intended for people. It could really irritate his skin, not to mention, he might try to lick it off. I would suggest going to the pet store and buying cologne made specifically for dogs.

Is Rover's odor knocking you over? Dog colognes may be the answer. If your dog doesn't keep that fresh scent in between baths, you might want to try one of many dog colognes on the market. Sometimes that “dog smell” becomes noticeable after a good run or a little exercise in the yard. Even worse is when Rover chooses his own perfume and rolls in something especially smelly but hardly sweet. If you've got company coming over and you have no time to bathe your pungent friend, a quick spritz of your favorite dog cologne can save the day. The trick is finding dog cologne that both you and your fragrant canine can agree on.You can use whatever you want. Choose a scent that goes with his personality - Perhaps "Can't keep my paws off of you"?

No, seriously, there are colognes just for dogs, believe it or not. Check out the link below.

Hope this helps.

The alcohol and strong ingredients in people perfumes will dry his delicate skin, cause some nasty irritation, and it will cause a buildup of chemicals on his fur.

There's some really cool scented conditioning sprays available at your local pet store. Just spray them on a wet or dry coat; no need to rinse afterward. Not only do they smell great, but they condition the skin, and I find that it helps with any dandruff issues.

You can also purchase cologne designed especially for dogs.

You also might try washing your dog with a scented doggie shampoo. My favorite is a vanilla oatmeal formulation; it leaves the dog softly scented but not so strong that it's overwhelming.

Just be warned: Most dogs really don't like to smell "pretty" and will promptly try to roll in the stinkiest thing available.

Hope this helps...

I wouldn't do that if I were you. A non-dog perfume/cologne might dry out his/her skin and irritate it. There are some awesome doggie perfumes/colognes that you can buy at pet stores, though. =)

Showers for canines? Ridiculous. Baths, I understand. Showers for canines can do greater injury than sturdy, only confirm to place stuff in his ears reason while in a tub there's a greater advantageous risk for water to develop into caught in his ears. definite, i've got no longer *tried* it i've got *executed* (BATHS, no longer showers) it yet this is is only via fact my canines grew to become into no longer staying in the tub, and easily might if i grew to become into in along with her. i think of an in lots of situations-foundation is stupid and ridiculous, while mandatory i will understand.

Please don't spray any perfume on the little guy!

For one thing, that's gay...for another, your dog's nose is highly sensitive to the smells around him and he enjoys seeking out different odors (ya know, like the butts of other dogs)...the perfume would mask and prevent him from enjoying his surroundings.
