I am planning on getting a breast reduction. I know that sometimes women can still breast-feed afterwards, and some cannot. My doctor said that it varies.

From those who have gotten a reduction, were you able to breast-feed your children?

Did you lose sensation in your nipples?

How was the pain afterwards?

Is there anything else I should know that happens down the road?

Please let me know. Again, I only want answers from women who have gotten the surgery, not doctors or men.

Thank you,
Hayley

I haven't had children yet, but my PS said I could breastfeed.

Lost sensation in my nipples for maybe a month or so.

NO PAIN. I had none when I came to after surgery.

Scars and final size and nipple sensation will take at least a year to come to its final state.

I had mine in Feb '06 and 95% of my scars are gone. I have nipple sensation, and I believe I am at my final size. I had five pounds taken off of me to go from a 38J to a 38C.

This site helped me out so much:
