If you're talking about the "fish" symbol, I don't know about its pre-Christian origin - it may have originated with Dagon worship - but even the early Christians in the first few hundred years after Christ used it to identify each other while they were being persecuted by the Romans. Today it is still used as a Christian symbol, and I'm pretty sure that those businesses who use it are not worshippers of Dagon. I understand that they are Christians, so I would be confident in patronizing their business.

I would still respect them and be kind to them. I would still talk to them, but I would probably choose to not do business with them. The only reason why is that I don't want money I work hard for to knowingly go to something that goes against God. Now I know that a lot of stores don't do things worthy of God, but I don't know for sure. That's not something I can really research, but I do try to patron places that I do know or feel are Christian based. (the money I give them might be used to tithe to God). I don't think I'm being hateful in anyway. It's a choice that I am able to make because of where I live.

The most visible pagan symbol is the cross. It predates Christianity by thousands of years.

Yes. Absolutely. There are so many that do anyway without knowing it. I would have more respect for those who at least knew what it meant.

Would you be so kind as to give an example in the above question please? Some 'symbols' can be used by pagan and 'Christian' groups.

Jesus ate meals with sinners and pagans.

Matthew 9:10-12
While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew's house, many tax collectors and "sinners" came and ate with him and his disciples.
When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"
On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick

Mark 2:15-17
While Jesus was having dinner at Levi's house, many tax collectors and "sinners" were eating with him and his disciples, for there were many who followed him.
When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the "sinners" and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: "Why does he eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"
On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

Jesus embraced sinners because He loves them!
Why do you think He died for us all?
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

A Caduceus is a symbol of the modern Medical profession. There is nothing evil about it. Doctors that adhere to all kinds of religious beliefs display this symbol.
Just because an evil person wears black shoes are you going to go barefoot?
