hi - i am looking to buy a new car...currently have a saxo 1.1i. want a 1600 engine, am fancying mg zr / ford focus / astra - any ideas on some good buys?? got about £5,000 and im a 24 year old girl...would want it to be black or silver....and relatively cheap on insurance (about £500 per year)

I'd go for the Focus. Wonderful car to drive, cheap to run & as reliable as anything else when you buy secondhand. Go for a 1.6 Zetec or Ghia with aircon, ABS & the fab windscreen heater. 5k should get you a 02/03 car.
