how big is the kitchen? Will black be too strong for the area?

Goldy yellow walls with sponged touches of terracotta

Tiled counter tops, in soft neutral tone.

i am not a designer but this is my opinion

i think you shouldnt do the walls in terra cotta if the floors are already that colour as the room would look to harsh and it would also look dark. Maybe u can pull it off if u have huge windows and get a lot of light in or if u plan to do long white / cream curtains or trow a lot of white / cream rugs around

i wouldnt suggest back cabinets, if im getting the feel of it right i think they will look a bit out of place and slightly too modern. i would go with light naturally finished furniture like oak, or for a cheaper option cane.

hiring professional decorators is too expensive and they tend to be a bit too nosey. i suggest u look up pictures of the tuscany area on the internet or if it is possible take a trip there... the final result of the home will forever remind of the nice time u had in the country :)

hope i have helped a bit :)

if the floors are terra cotta, then i think you need to do a different color wall. i think a mustard yellow (slightly darker than gold yellow) would look great. rather than black, I'd recommend a very dark brown for the cabinets--it will harmonize nicely with terra cotta and mustard. i would use black for the countertop instead of the cabinets--black slate countertops would look amazing. bronzy copper faucets and cabinet hardware would set off the brown nicely. a black sink with the copper faucets is a great combo.

Yes you need serious advise ! For the amount of money you plan to spend, I would hire a well qualified Interior Designer to help you. It is well worth the few hundred dollars you would spend. Also consider the re-sale of your home with these changes.
