This question is a matter of opinion, I wouldnt sway you either way, it's always a matter of what your eating is it sauce or marinade with alot of jazzy flavor, is it more subdued, is it pork, chicken beef, yes you had a barf story we all due but start out real slow for a few weeks explore some whites but before you transition try this, do the sweeter whites first, due to the cast and body of red you dont want to go from a sweet white to a deep red, try the chardonnay's then get into the reds, red and whites can share oak cast, that is great way to prepare your palate.

Our bodies will prepetuate flavors/tastes if we are customed thats why wine drinkers at times can get into a hump be open, try new wines.

BTW, with reds try this a pinot noit, graduate into a merlot, then a cab, try amorone, meritage its all progressive good luck in your search for a great wine that suits you

White wines goes with sea food meals, when you are having meat you have red wine.

If you had red and you found it heavy for your taste go for Rosey, it a light red wine.

When having wine always avoid the very cheap options to avoid bad hangovers, and remeber to drink some water while drinking wine.

Hi! Personally, IF just red or wine--RUM! (lol!)
But it does depend on IF u r serving it with food;
u have 2 look at LOTS 'factors'; ie:*
-appetizers, snacks
(*2 guests offer both if u can and having a 'soiree' of some sort..)
-for main course:
white: fish, poultry, creamy-based main course
red: meats, tomato-based pastas (ie: italian)
veggie: either, but warm red is better 4 tummy
dry is preferrable-look at year and and TYPE of wine-if NOT SURE ASK 4 HELP-THAT'S WHAT THEY R THERE 4 & THEY KNOW THEIR STUFF!
desserts: depending on 'sweetness' but generally look for wine with a fruity taste to it and full-body
if not sure, white
ALSO KEEP IN MIND THE LEVEL, IF U HAVE A DIABETIC IN YR CO. U R SERVING LOOK FOR LEVEL "0" AS THERE IS SUGAR CONTENT IN WINES AND ASK IF NOT SURE!
Hope this helpd!
BLESSED BE

It depends on so many things: the food you are going to eat with it, how hot/cold it is outside and personal taste. I typically enjoy Chardonnay year round because it it a strong white wine, that is delicious with cheeses. However, nothing beats a good red (merlot or cab sav) with a stew.

Depends on time of year.
I like red when it's cold outside and I prefer white when it's warm.
