...and what type of church, and what message did you receive?
The message I received was about making time to strengthen your faith by reading the bible daily, and about knowing God's will for you.Very inspirational.

Thank you to those of you who answer my to my curiosity, for I find it enlightening to hear what others of either the same faith or different faiths our learning.
I am Catholic, but today I went to my wifes' church and she is another form of Christianity...it was different than what I am used to, but I still found it to be good, and inspiring.
They preacher also spoke of not being judgemental, especially if you call yourself a deacon.
God Bless you all!

I went to the Lord's Church this morning. The sermon was about one of the Lord's Churches in the BIBLE. We have been hearing about the churches each week for the last three weeks. He also spoke about teaching the Word of GOD and the fact that their church no longer existed even though at one time they were quite faithful. We have a singing service this evening, there will be a short invitation given by one of the deacons followed by the Lord's Supper, and prayer. We always have a morning and evening service. The evening service is a singing service on the last Sunday of the month. On Wednesday, we have a BIBLE STUDY, singing, the Invitation is extended, and a prayer is offered. Have a great Lord's Day.

I went this morning - it happened to be united church, having both Methodists and Presbyterians. But it wouldn't really matter to me what the particular religion is. As a young person I really didn't want to go to church. Some of the beliefs and dogma just didn't make sense to me. But now I go for the spiritual connection I feel. Being in the church, really helps me - I feel a connection with everyone there and with God. Saying the Lord's prayer in unison is so uplifting for me.
