I'd like to peoples take on what would happen to the US economy if all the "undocumented " immigrant workers were removed in one day?

It's obvious they are an important part of the economy and have always been and some sort of reform needs to be put in place.

Serious discussions is a waste of time on this site. Most of the answers will be from people that hate brown skin illegals. To make matters worst they hate the legals and the ones born here,if they have brown skin.

If you have not noticed when they ask a question they are not looking for an answer. They are looking for some one to crap on.

Americans worked the jobs that illegals have before the illegals started flooding across the border.

And Americans will work those jobs again - once all the illegals have left.

The businesses who exploited cheap Mexican labor will , of course, have to attract U.S. workers by raising wages to some degree. These wage increases will increase prices somewhat for all U.S. citizens, but I think that most loyal Americans would be willing to pay a few cents more for their vegetables knowing that more employment will be available for our own citizens and not some criminal Mexicans. Also, all the money that is sent out of the country by illegals will be spent within the U.S. when Americans take their jobs back.

But, even though some prices may go up, some expenditures will fall. With the illegals gone, because they can no longer find employment here in the U.S., our courts, social agencies, hospitals, etc., will no longer be burdened with their presence.

Whenever major social changes occur there is a period of adjustment to be undergone by the system. Loyal Americans should be confidant that they can handle the change...............

First, They are not "undocumented", "immigrants", or "workers". Criminal
Trespassers within a sovereign nation is what they truly are.
If you believe that America cannot get along without these instant criminals and thier offspring then you are delusional.
The reform that needs to take place is upholding the American Constitution and enforcing current American immigration laws already on the books to deal with this invasion before the American economy collapses under the weight of the artificially inflated trends taking place because of these low skilled, lower payed, unbenifitted, unlawful misfits.

They are an important part of the economy, not the US Economy though. Don't you know that they ship most of their money back to their native countries??

You also need to call undocumented immigrants what they really are, and that is ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS!!!!

If they want to live and work in the US then they need to 1) adapt to the American way of life, 2) learn to speak English and 3) become US Citizens like the millions of other immigrants who came to the US did!!!

Anything done in one day in this country is going to cause a problem. We are too Darned big.
If they were to trickle out at the rate they came in at more or less, life woulod be fine.
Frankly, I have no problem with them working here. I just don't like the screming brats, the baby factory flesh and bloods that push kid carriages up and down the streets, knowing that the US population is doubling every 10 years and that this is causing our social service support systems and education to hit tank bottom.
Then there's no parking, congestion driving, high fuel prices and the loveliest thing the bring: CRIME.
The crime alone will kill us off if we don't do something about it. I won't go on and on ...I already have.
You get the idea. These people need to leave and frankly, the sooner the better. We'll live in any event and probubly much better.

again gokart you recognize the most apt and criminal time period for use thus is " unlawful alien." The time period "unlawful immigrant" became immediately advanced through people as a alternative for unlawful extraterrestrial beings, in all likelihood because we stated "extraterrestrial beings" as being from outer area or some thing and were attempting to be politically suitable, although the words are used interchangeably. with the exception of, i imagine you recognize that the time period "undocumented worker" is only a politically suitable time period advanced to describe unlawful extraterrestrial beings in hopes of "sanitizing" the political factors of their presence contained in the U. S. through those that income from and help their presence. concentrated visitor workers are a very diverse form of overseas concentrated visitor than unlawful extraterrestrial beings in that they have got been given non everlasting criminal clearance to go back into our usa to do those (and this can be debated) "jobs people received't do"- which consists of migrant farm workers; of direction, you're suitable that many come on concentrated visitor worker visas and over-stay their criminal time allowance interior the U. S. and, for that reason, grow to be unlawful extraterrestrial beings, unlawful immigrants, undocumented workers or the different time period you go with to apply to categorise them.

You don't help our economy by allowing illegal immigrant workers to drain the American tax payers by paying for their medical and education. Do you realize how many billion of dollars is spent on the so called "needs" of illegal immigrants?
That money could have been spent on American citizens.

Obviously you didn't read that their day without a mexican made absolutely no difference economically....I would like to see what a day without an American would do....but then because our govt. takes the illegals part of our pay before we get it that would be hard.... You are correct some sort of reform does need to take place..like enforcing our immigration laws & upholding our constitution...what a reform that would be!!!

How they obtain a better life reeks of money is the root of all evil,so what does that make the illegal aliens ? When I see the list is now up to Americans refuse to build houses, build buildings, road work, etc, etc. I welcome them to go. We have enough people who waited in line to fill any void they will have left.

Americans would have more jobs, I think. There simply is no excuse for illegals to go to a country illegally and demand to be put to the front of the line for those who are doing it legally. Sorry.
