Does the average grocery store have them? And are they sold fresh or frozen?

I think they sell them at the farmers market under animal feed..i don't know anyplace else?? maybe a health food store??

You can get then frozen at your average grocery store. You can also find them at a local market fresh sometimes.

I get them in the natural/organic food section of my grocery store. They come frozen in a bag.

Hi! Best place to go is a health food store; fresh and they will advise u on the cooking of them; lentils r good 4 u 1!

In my area, you can get them fresh packaged in the same case as the packaged veggies like small carrots and organic stuff. they are also found in the frozen food case along with the vegetarian foods. that is in the local supermarket. (vons, albertsons etc) You steam them for just a minute and chill for best flavor. hope that helps!
