There were quite a few differences, depending on which model you were looking at. For instance, the 1500 Crew had a 5 ft bed, the 1500HD was available with the 8'. Also, you could get the 6 liter engine in the HD, as opposed to the 5300.

The HD is the heavy duty version of the same truck and has an optional stronger engine with stronger drivetrain components. Basically if you don't want the bulk of a 2500/3500 to haul around town but need something that can tow just as well, that's what the 1500HD is for. It looks like a regular 1500 with some of the capabilities of a 2500/3500. Go to http://www.gmc.com for more info.

no longer something is distinctive different than the GMC in many situations has the optimal end variety of the two. i offered a 07 GMC new type becouse i like the way it seems greater, yet while Chevy replaced into what they had i could of offered one. the only reasonable distinction of any consiquence is that in case you purchase a a techniques better GMC like a collection cab it is going to likely be properly worth slightly greater then the comparable chavy becouse there have been much less geared up. no longer a reason to purchase one even though it extremely is a distinction.
