Hi, I'm black and I have tried proactiv but it made my skin very dry and about ten shades darker! It supposedly works for acne, not the scars. You might try Mederma or cocoa butter. If all else fails you could get cosmetic surgery like lasering.

There's a cream from Fashion Fair (makeup brand found at department stores) It's called "Vantex" I've used it forever (I'm 1/4 black & have some pigmentation problems too)... After about 6 weeks you should notice they lighten a bit. I use it everynight, and it's especially helpful for new scars (right after a pimple heals it turns a little darker- this stuff will make it dissapear in 2-3 weeks) Goodluck!

Try strivectin.. It was originally produced to help diminish stretch marks but it also fades scars on the face and takes away wrinkles. It is really expensive but lasts a long time and is very effective. You can also purchase this online.

Nothing helps with it. Keep it clean and dry. Throwing stuff on top of it does not speed up the body's process of healing. The body does the healing, not the creams.
