Hi I would suggest calpol or or their childrens ibuprofin at first,
If the calpol does not control the fever then try medised at the next due time - 4-6 hours later (medised contains paracetamol so do not give at the same time as calpol)
Medised also contains diphenhydramine which is a mild antihistamine - so medised is good for pain, fever and aiding sleep, and unblocking stuffy noses.
Information can be viewed at

You should definitely give her children's motrin or tylenol to reduce the fever. Fever in children, especially if prolonged, can become serious. So you must make sure that the fever is in control.
If it's really viral, there isn't much to do except make the girls comfortable. Lots of fluids, in the form of juices, soups, etc. will help to clear the congestion in the throat. You can give them diametap lollipops to help with the sore throat. Tea with lemon and lots of honey is soothing as well. If it's really bad, they can suck on ice chips.

Calpol for over 6s or Ibuprofen equivalent.
Please note: you CANNOT give aspirin, junior or otherwise, to under 16s in the UK. It was banned for this age group years ago.
Oh, and Tylenol is not a brand known in the UK. We call it by its generic name, paracetamol. The most common brand for children is Calpol.

A teaspoon of honey every hour for the sore throat and a warm washcloth on the throat is really soothing.

Calpol 6+ or Medinol, which is also paracetamol but tastes much nicer!
Lots of fluids and plenty of TLC!
hope they get better soon! - Don't forget to take some vitamins yourself so you don't go down with it too.

give her tylenol or some other liquid medicine for sore throat.
if she still has the sore throat after a couple days, take her to the doctor because that means she probably has an infection.
