Who says it's position should be down? As a matter of fact toilets are not sold with a seat, it is an added item. Toilets are functional without seats as men prove time and time again. There is no instruction sheet stating that the added on seat and lid should remain down when not in use. As a matter of fact it makes more sense to leave the bowl exposed. This way the intended user can see exactly what's been left there. and can choose from the available options of putting the seat down for use or putting the cover down and disposing of the contents!

Oh my gosh. I have been waiting for a ? like this. My man has some really odd(not irritating) habits. He put this basketball hoop in our bedroom so that when he gets home from work he can make his dirty socks into a ball and score points. Another thing is he likes to throw things at me. Not anything hard but things like paper, rubber bands, bottle caps, and anything else he can find. He says its funny and I find it annoying. That man eats chili on anything and everything. Not just a little he covers his food. It is so disgusting. As for the toilet seat thing that's probably the only thing he does do. Sorry!

I'm not sure if you mean the top or the bottom, but normally I find that sometimes women can be a bit inconsiderate on a nighttime by putting it DOWN! Have women ever tried peeing standing up in the dark!? Before you all ask, it is a bit awkward trying to get your night-vision back after being blinded by a 60 watt lightbulb at 02:30 in the morning!

An inconsistency in someone's characteristics, behaviours, beliefs or actions. Refered to as such because, like a toilet seat, they're always undecidedly "up and down" about whatever it is.
"Is Jim going to the party on Saturday?"
"Naw. He's being a toilet seat about it."

I always do that for my girl. Irriating habits... hmmm I would have to say she has an interesting idea of how dishes are done. She gets the water in the sink, with the dishes, and the dish soap. But for some reason from that point she seems to think they are going to wash themselves. LOL

I do, I do!!! When I go to the washroom I have to move myself from my wheelchair and sit down to go to the washroom. So therefore my fiance and her daughters love the fact that the toilet seat is always down. Yeah!! Not all guys are guilty of this inexcusable offense. Yeah!!

Why can't women put the toilet seat back up when they are done?
That way you can see if anything else needs cleaning rather than finding a mess when the Toilet needs scrubbing.
