Mobile homes aren't built the same or to the same standard as your classic stick built house. The floors (in mine) are a particle board type ply that's been both glued (excessively) and screwed to the joices. The walls are made with 1x1s instead of 2x4s and the dry wall is 1/4 inch instead of 3/4. This means the walls are not as thick as a stick built, and check the spacing between studs, could be as wide as 4 ft vs 16 inch on center. Doors and windows are not standard and have to be ordered or purchased from a mobile home hardware store. Outer walls are not as high as a stick built, windows are lower to floor. Light switch and power outlet boxes are generally not nailed to a stud, but are held in place in the drywall by a jack screw both top and bottom.
Mobiles are designed to flex when being moved down the road, stick builts traditionally aren't built to be moved.
I enjoy doing home improvement projects and generally use deck screws and yellow carpenter's glue. Just keep in mind which walls are weight bearing... Have fun!
