Jesus (pbuh) was a wonderful prophet, however, it makes no sense that somebody could die so that other people don't go to hell.
Each and every one of us will be judged, according to our own deeds. Nobody can erase our sins, we should only ask God to forgive us. Allah (God) is the most forgiving, the most merciful. Ask God to guide you to the correct path, as only He can do so.
There will be a Day of Judgement, where every single thing that we did in this life will be shown by a clear record. Angels are recording everything that we do into our own record. I think it's a pretty scary thought to think that people believe that they're going to heaven no matter what they do. This means that they have nothing preventing them from doing evil things. As a Muslim, I fear God's punishment, so I'm continuously working to do good deeds (even when nobody's watching, because God is).
I suggest reading the Holy Qur'an English translation for guidance.

When we are born again, all of our past, present and future sins are forgiven and we become part of the family of God. We will always be his children, even if we continue to sin. Sin breaks our fellowship with God, but not the relationship.
You could compare the relationship to a marraige. When you sin against your spouse, you will still be married to him or her, but you should confess when you have done something hurtful and ask for forgiveness. This keeps the fellowship in a marraige open and fresh.

Because we keep on sinning everyday. FORGIVENESS of sin is NOT a LICENSE TO SIN. It's not like we can do whatever we please and God will say "that's OK". If we kill someone and then say "Oh God I'm sorry" Do you think He is going to give you a pat on the back? When we're forgiven we need to act and live like were forgiven. We pray, ask forgiveness, and give thanks in our prayer. If someone steals your car, then does it again, then again and again and again, -you might forgive that person the first time or two but what about the 5th or 6th time? Their just saying "I'm sorry, please forgive me" isn't from the heart, the words don't fit the actions. God can, will, and does forgive our sin. We need to give Him thanks and live like we're forgiven.

Because we continue to sin, we have been forgiven but we still ask to be forgiven in the name of Jesus. We have been forgiven as far as in terms of judgement for our sin for eternity but in daily life we need to ask him to forgive us when we fall short of his plan for our lives, as a believer in christ we have his forgiveness but it is still a fight to do what is right with evil influences in this world and our old sinful nature that will not be gone until we leave this body.

Jesus' Word is good enough. In Jesus' Word, it says "confess with your mouth" and also "if we confess with our mouths, He is faithful and just to forgive us"
A person can know and believe that eating food will help them have energy and stay alive, but you can't just believe that, you have to actually pick up the food and eat it. Belief alone will not help, you have to take the appropriate action with what you know.

My goodness, can people on this site not ask a question without being snotty? If you hurt someone you love do you not say "sorry"? It is the right thing to do.
