Do I file my tax as single or married.I am Legal permanent resident married?
I am Legal Permanent Resident , married . My wife is based outside United States(Foreign Country), she doenst have social security number. I am responsible for her upkeep as shes not working. Should i file my tax as single, or married filling jointly(wife not working) or married filing seaprately. She has never come to USA before, and it may take 4 years for her to join me .

If you are supporting her, u could claim her but she needs a SSN .
U better just file head of household, single until she is in USA and has a SSN.

You would file married-joint because as of the end of the year, you were married. It does not matter if your wife was not a legal resident.
