I have had problems with this too, only my problem is that I work 12 hour days so when Im off work there is so much I want to do so by the time I am done its 5 in the morning. I don't condone this for everyone but my choice is to smoke a little herb. To me its safer than sleeping pills because I never want to lose the ability to fall asleep naturally. They are known for being addictive. I have to make myself stop doing the laundry, put the book down, stop making lists, get off the computer etc. Also don't drink any caffiene at least 4 hours before you want to go to bed. Camomile tea helps and bananas also make you naturally dozey.

Talk to your doctor maybe some sedatives will help you out. Insomnia is a very serious issue don't take it lightly.

You may not be excersizing enough, It could also be that you are stressed out and it's causing you to be awake. To fix your sleep pattern you must first understand it. Look for this Ebook online.
How to sleep less and have MORE energy than you ever had before
I started to read it, and I couldn't put it down. Ironically I was up until 4am reading it.

Is stress the root of the problem? Cut back on caffeine, don't work out close to bed time. You should really go to a doctor if it's bothering you alot.
