I will tell you this much - worring about other people's opinions isn't going to be doing it. I would suggest you just focus on what you need to do and laugh off the rest. Remember the rule about sticks and stones may break your bones, but words will never hurt you (unless you let them).

Good Luck!!!

Maybe you could take dance or karate or yoga lessons to improve your balance and grace so you wouldn't look like a klutz. I don't see why people would think you're intellectually inferior just because you're clumsy; is there anything else you're doing that might impress them as stupidity? Do you speak without thinking, or deliberately say things that offend or seem stupid?

You said yourself your a smart person, so show some more confidence around these people. They'll realize intellegence and being a "klutz" aren't even related. . . . . or the next time you do something embarassing like fall, make a funny/smart remark. (Darn Gravity!)

Personally, I would not care what they thought about me. As long as I knew who I was as a person, it would not matter to me what others thought.

However, if you are concerned about how you come across to others, then you may want to seek out some help on how to present yourself. Maybe there are some self help books you could look at.

It really all depends on what you mean by being a klutz, as to what kind of help you could get to improve yourself. If it's a matter of not speaking well, for example, then you could seek out help to become a better speaker.

Whatever you do, make sure you are doing it for yourself and not just to impress others.

Interesting! I once knew a man in my home town when I was young that always seem to have a big vocabulary.
I commented on that fact to another wise man and he said "Listen very closely and he uses EIGHT big words over and over in conversation!
I wrote down those 8 big words that he used and that was the only big words I ever heard him use; but folks thought he was extra smart.
If you are smart: don't be afraid to show it in-- poise, conversation, manners, or humor!

the hek with what people think, use it to your advantage, try challenging them in a intelligence contest where winner takes all, beat them and you will see who is the smart one.....p.s..cheat .its the only way to both guarantee you will win and show them how stupid they are for underestimating how smart you are.
