Bring him inside and make sure he stays in unless he is leashed (so he doesn't run away). When you are going to bed, pick him up and put him on the bed. Close your bedroom door and talk to him while you are getting ready. When you get into bed, pet him for a few minutes. It will take some time for him to adjust. Like a lot of small dogs, pugs don't take well to change and it takes awhile for them to become accustomed to a new home.

Pugs were bred specifically to be COMPANION dogs. He should NEVER be outside by himself!!!
Not to mention Pugs are Brachycephalic and are extremely sensitive to heat/cold. You NEED to bring him inside NOW!! If you're not willing to bring him inside, take him to a rescue so he can get a home where he's properly taken care of.

Pugs must be house dogs. Yours will be sick or dead, if it's made to live outside.
It's anxious because it enjoys & NEEDS the company of people and now you expect him to do without it.
It's pretty cruel, if you ask me.

bring him back inside. a pug is not an outdoor dog, and will not do well there. they cannot handle extreme temps in either direction. pretty simple answer, open your door and let the poor dog in.

Did you put him outside? I know he doesn't want to sleep outside or even be out there for very long. Please bring him in and give him treats. THAT's what he wants. He'll eventually get used to the new place.
