Jumping rope is an often overlooked exercise, but many in the fitness world swear by it. I live in a cold climate, so during the winter months the cold air outside burns my throat and lungs when I jog, so I jump rope inside and get just as good, if not better, of a workout doing it. Try doing a variety of jumps, and be sure to stretch first. I normally start out with a couple hundred regular jumps, then do back and forth, side to side, one leg at a time, one leg back and forth (and side to side). If you have hardwood or tile floors you may want to look into getting a yoga mat or something soft so you don't get shin splints (this happened to me).

jumping rope is an staggering cardio exercising that would not require drugs, herbs or different questionable issues. in truth, Disney is generating a movie about jumping rope for television quickly. the great component about jumping rope is you may do it on my own or with any kind of acquaintances. only once you imagine you've mastered it, you could upload a second rope or worry-free and be challenged all once more desirable. it is also seen low effect because your knees and ankles are bent and is reasonably priced and assorted relaxing besides. you could bounce rope to song or without and would do it everywhere you could deliver a rope with you.

High intensity jump roping will get your heart rockin' in no time. It's great for melting off fat. Losing 8 pounds jumping rope should be straight forward. Good Luck

It is great exercise but u should do other things besides that. Such as, jump rope for ten minutes, then run for twenty, then do some sit-ups.

Excellent exercise. Better than jogging - it is a cardio work out, which will build stamina. That is provided you are doing "pepper" all the time.

it's jumping rope - and yes, it is good. Do it on soft surface - not concrete. Better for the knees!!

Yes, but if you're majorly unfit (like me) after 20 or so you're dead tired. Great for abs and arms... I'm trying to get into it...
