why is my parakeet pooping in her nestbox??

i opened the nestbox recently to see how my 3 baby birds were doing, and when i opened it there was poop everywhere... why is she doing this?? i read that the mother usually goes out of the box to poop, or are these the baby birds that are pooping??

Yes of course the baby birds poop. They can make a mess. If it looks too messy, you can put in a little more bedding to absorb it.
