PLZ tell me you are joking. Rape is a forced sexual act. Even agreeing against your true feelings, or legalities is considered rape (Satutory Rape).
The reason your friends don't want to talk is because rape is a very traumatic and violent experience.
If you really want to know, go to your local Rape Crisis Center and sit in a couple of group counciling sessions (Some do allow this as a form of scared into awareness program) Listen to the stories and see how it wrecks the women.
My wife was raped as a teenager and I still, over 8 years after have to be carefull about how I approacher her, or kiss her, hell even how I touch her.

Rape can be anything. What you hear about is forced sex. But any sexual activity that is forced can be called rape. And usually a guy does it to a girl, but a girl can do it to a guy. I sympathize with your friends who were raped. It's a scary experience. Basically, a guy locks you into a room or closet, and usually threatens you that if you don't take off your clothes, or do something with him he'll hurt someone you love, or something like that. Then, they make sure that if you scream no one will hear you, and then usually they start acting either really mean or really sickly sweet. Then they do it. Don't ask what it is you can probably figure it out. First sex and even after that is always said to be painful, but rape is a lot more painful than that because often it is done the wrong way. it's a scary experience that I hope you never go through.

When someone forces another person to have sex against their will, it is considered rape.
Physical force, weapons, restraints, etc. might be used, but not necssarily. For example, if you started to unlock the door to your house, and a man came up behind you, placed a gun at your temple, forced you inside then said if you don't disrobe and let me have sex with you i will shoot you, and you complied only to save your life, that would be rape. He made you have sex against your will.
But many guys have been successfully charged with "date rape" - you know the guy, and you start to make out with him, and he "sort of" forces you to have sex even though you keep saying 'no', that is often considered rape as well. So it doesn't have to be in some dark alley with a stranger - it can be in your own bed with a boyfriend.
Women are scared to admit they were raped because often society says well you led him on or you were a dick tease or you asked for it or you dressed sexy so you deserved it or you're a little sl*t or you've slept with a lot of guys so that isn't rape. There's a lot of shame attached to it. So women are unwilling to be identified as a rape victim. It's tough being trapped like that. Rather than be seen as a powerless whore, women suffer in terrible silence.
And god DAMN the creepy b*stards who rape women. Damn all of them to gruesome torturous hell forever. And hurry them there with three bullets behind the left ear.
DESPITE WHAT OTHER PEOPLE SAY WITH THEIR SEMANTIC CRAP, SEX IS INVOLVED. Not loving intimate sex but sexual activity. There are so busy with their stupid-a s s political agendas they can't come out and say it invovles unwanted sexual activity. It is violence but it most certainly involves sex. It sure as h e l l doesn't involve baking cookies against your will.
Does that help?

People get raped unexpectedly most of the time.
Sexually, they are forced to do something against their will of give up something against their will. This is an awful experience that no one should have to ever encounter. I was raped by my boyfriend once and it was like having sex with a stranger or family member. We had broken up and I said no. But he overpowered me.
In a business sense, it is like when you take your car to the dealer and they charge you astronomical prices for labor or fix things that were not even broke.

Rape is not forced sex. It's an act of violence. I think it happens too often to American girls than it should.
I have several friends who were raped and they've never been the same again...

In my case it was a boy I met at college. He came to my room to study. I asked my room mate to stay while he was there since I'd only just met him. She took off after 30 minutes & as soon as she shut the door he got up & casually walked to the door and locked it. Next thing I know he's kissing on me. I told him to STOP. He didn't, he kept touching me every where & ripped off my clothes. I was screaming & crying fighting him best I could, (I was 85 pounds he was 175 pounds of muscle), I asked him what he was trying to do...he said, rape you. It took him several attempts cause I kept getting lose from him but he'd catch me before I could get all the locks unlocked &I throw me over his shoulders then back onto the bed. I fought the whole time though! Bruised me up pretty bad. He didn't leave til he was satisfied with himself. Over and over I kept asking him "do you realize your raping me?" and he kept saying "yes" like it was NOTHING. that was 22 years ago. rape=forced sex

Number of ways. But they are forced to do sex, and the person who is forced to do it, is uncomfortable and says no. That's rape.

Lebonese males in a group attack women and sexually and physically harm them.
They are gutless creatures only good in numbers and need to be eradicated from the planet.
