if a bacse payment is due to go out on the 31st of this month can it be stopped before it is due tobe payed?

Yes it can be stopped but 2 working days notice notice is usually required.

If payment due to be made on 31st Jan you must inform your bank no later than 29th Jan that you want the payment cancelled.

It is only in certain circumstances that the payment can be stopped if 2 working days notice is not given as a Bacs recall is usually required and this can cause complications.
