First I would take him to a vet to be sure there is NOTHING that can be done. if the vet feels its his time they will let you know. The vet can do this but first I would ask to give your dog a sedative so you can be with him for a bit before they put him to sleep. Some people opt to get their vet to come to their home so you and the dog will be more comfortable.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog. Putting your dog down will be hard, but atleast he won't be suffering any longer. As for a place, I think you could take him to the vet. Good luck.

you should already have a vet for this dog. take him there, find out if anything can be done, and if not then make the decision to have him euthanized. why are you even asking this? why don't you have a vet already in mind for a 12 year old dog? you should have taken this dog for regular vet visits for the past 12 years, he might not be in such bad health if you had.

You can go to your local veterinarian and they can put your dog down. MOST will NOT do this without first making sure the dog is in ill health.

I wish you had other alternatives - but good memories do last.
As to putting down an animal most veterans can be of service or if they don't euthanize will give you a referral.

Go to your vet or any vet will help you out. You are a good pet owner to do this instead of making him or her suffer.
