Hi there. First of all you are a little overweight but with some minor changes you can develop healthy habits that will help you lose weight and keep it off. First of all - don't eat in front of the T.V.. Sit down and eat three meals a day. Stay away from fast food and junk food on a daily basis, maybe once a week. Exercise - get outside play basketball, walk to a friends, join a sports team, anything - keep busy. It will come off gradually and you'll feel better about yourself. I had the same problem at your age and that is how I was able to be healthier. Nowadays kids are heavier because they sit in front of the t.v. playing video games and watching t.v.. Parents don't make you do anything because they are all busy working. Get out of the house! That will be a big difference right there. If your folks can't keep up with all the yard work, you do it - great exercise. Help out, clean house, anything. Later on in life this will help you with getting good grades, jobs, etc.. to be more successful. People who are more sedate (lazy) have a hard time coping when they get older. Good luck!

proper eating and breathing is the best way to lose weight. you will easily grow into 156 pounds and not knowing what your bone structure is like (small bones vs big bones makes a BIG difference) my best advice on eating right is just eating smaller portions and learn to breathe properly. its hard to go to mcdonalds and just order a double cheeseburger and small fry but that is really all you should be eating for "junk" limit your pizza -- one less slice, limit your food at home -- "less please" is seldom heard but better for you. diets and exercise are only good if they are "life changes" not something you do for a week. if you feel compelled to go jogging or bike riding then make a time for you to do it daily. bike riding and swimming are both really good for burning calories. you should also check your breathing. chances are you spend a certain amount of time in front of the television or computer like every other american. when you do this you usually sit in an akward position for your breathing to be its best and it actually slows your metabolism. sit up straight is good advice but lie down sideways is too. think abou the way you are breathing and it should change your posture. you want deep normal breaths not shallow ones. if you can't feel air in your lungs it probably isn't making it all the way down. so readust and keep it in the back of your mind. breathing your way to better health is something you never hear about beacuse nobody is going to make any money off of it. i really think all you need to do is look at what you are eating and eat a little less. the little bit of extra you have you will grow into by the time you are 15 so you really don't have much to worry about.
