It sounds to me as if that quote from the Polish priest has been re-quoted very much out of context to make it seem innocuous. Rev. Ted Pike could then whine about it.
I'd like to see a bit more of what the Polish guy said before judging the State Department and Jewish leaders of over-reacting.

This proves nothing. Just because some Catholic priests are anti-semites doesn't mean the New Testament is. Jesus was Jewish, remember? I don't believe he's the messiah any more than you do, but he lived and died as an observant Jew. Christianity itself was just another oddball Jewish sect (like the Satmars, or the Bobovers are today) until the 5th century of the common era. Besides, the U.S. State Department isn't the best source for information of any kind. Just because it's been used by anit-semites doesn't make the New Testament anti-semitic. Hell, Hitler liked to ride around in a red Mercedes-Benz convertible but that doesn't make them evil.

Your premise is so flawed. You are assuming that what the US State Department Government say is a revelation from above, all true and should therefore be accepted. How many times this allegedly honest government lied to us again and over again? Are you one of those who are still in their deep slumber, or can not wake up because of the big doses of sedation given to you by this government?
Let me correct a common misunderstanding about the word SEMITISM and who are considered to be Semitic.
What is Semitic?
SEMITIC: 1. of , relating to, or characteristic of the Semites, specifically Jewish. 2. Of, relating to, or constituting a sub-family of the Afro-Asiatic language family that include Hebrew, Aramaic, Arabic, and Ethiopic.
Therefore, in view of the above, being Semitic is not a thing to be only confined to the Jews. Big misunderstanding.
Now let us get to the point: 1. Should the Bible be considered as anti-Semitic? 2. Why do Christians still hold on it?
The bible is NOT anti-Semitic. It is a book narrating things that happened. Whether these things are authentic or not, there is no mentioning, whatsoever, in it that says or recommend anti-Semitism; hate the Jew, Jews are bas***, etc. As for telling the story of Jesus crucifixion and the Jews participation, in a way or another, in the crucifixion, can not be taken as anti-Semitism. Would I be anti-bushism, if I talk about the war in Iraq??!!
Should Christian, according to your flawed logic, reject the Bible? Whether the Bible is an authentic book or not, and based on your faulty logic, they should not.
Yes, the Jews killed, directly or indirectly, Jesus Christ. They were corrupt to the core. The old testament is full of stories about their corruption narrated by so many prophets. Read the old testament and find how much troubles and grief they caused to Moses. In addition, no nation ever, in history, has received such a big number of prophets. Isn't this indicative of how corrupt the Jews were, or how fast they revert to corruption?
If it is mentioned in the old testament, so why do we fret about the new testament. leave them be and go your own way. You sound like an atheist, not that I am anti-atheist, but why do you concern yourself with whether Christians should grip onto their book or not.
Everybody hates Muslims and Arabs nowadays for a reason or another. I presume your do, too. My be I, myself, do. Does this mean that I am anti-Semitic. Aren't the Arabs as Semites as the Jews?.
Would I be anti-Semite if I tell you the Jews have control over you; they own Hollywood, the media and.......

I don't know what type of propaganda website you're visiting, but there are several flaws in this argument. And personally, if people are spreading personal hatred in the form of anti-semitism, especially in a church, then they need to be dealt with.
The first flaw is that the Romans, NOT the Jews, put Jesus to death.
The second is that the New Testament in several passages says that the "Old Law " is still accepted, but since a Savior has come, the Jews are stil God's "chosen people". The NT does no more to spread anti-semitism than I do.

Believing one false assumption based on another false assumption is ludicrous. If you believe anything based on the blatherings of people that obviously have a political agenda, you are a fool. Hitler was not a Christian, and their agenda had no relevance to the New Testament. They simply wanted to destroy the Jews based on a racist and predatory policy. Now Jews were certainly hard done by during the Holocaust, it is surprising that 60 years later that they are still casting around aimlessly trying to assign blame. Christians were the ones who saved them from the Nazis. Perhaps there is some truth to their malice against our Lord? Perhaps they do. The real surprise is that the State Department would deign to tell us what to believe about the Holocaust. Revisionist history is almost always full of s***.
BTW the Book of Joshua is what then? besides advocating genocide?

HELLO! It is OK and legal for persons to be racist or anti-semitic or whatever. it is only bad when the GOVERNMENT does it.
All religions think the other religions are bad or wrong. that is what a religion isa ll about. it is fine.
religions are by their very definition intolerant of other religions.
certainly the new testament puts the lie to many things jewish. it is a religion that BROKE away from the jews. it is not another form of jewism.
The government of Hitler made it official government law and policy to hate Jews. This is bad. But each individual retains the right to hate anyone they want to hate and so do religions. That is why we ( in USA) insist on separation of religion and state( one reason)

So just because the government says it, it automatically becomes true? I'm not a Christian, but I realize the idiocy of this statement. The government lies all the time. I'm not sure why this is any different. There are anti-semitic Christians. They're idiots because the person they worship (Jesus) was a Jew. Christians, for the most part, are not anti-semitic.

Pure nonsense - only God can kill God. Jesus said He had the power to lay down His life and the power to take it back up. Neither the Jews nor the Romans could kill Christ unless Christ allowed it to happen for a very great reason like returning eternal life to me and you.
Reverend Ted Pike needs to read his Bible and the U.S. State Dept. needs to stay out of religion. God will bring every nation against Israel, because God plans on judging them for how they treated his people the Jews. Christians are to love the Jewish people. Christians are to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
Joel 3:2 -"I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. America's C. Rice is trying hard to divide God's land with the Palestinians and America is being judged now for these efforts. God's plan will not be altered.

The U.S. State Department doesn't get to infringe on our religious freedom. The Holocausts that have been wreaked upon the Jews, and not just by Hilter, has nothing to do with antisemitism and everything to do with what the Jews have done to entire countries and civilizations, read the History of Civilizations.

The New Testament states the facts of the life of Christ. Once again folks are trying to change history. The Bible will remain regardless of what anyone says. Don't mess with God's Word. The USA is a country nearing the judgement of God.
