Well you could put coccnut oil in your hair or make some mases from avocado. Also buying a good shampoo helps.

I'm a licensed African American stylist and I would recommend for you to have deep conditioning treatments weekly. Maybe a hot oil treatment, either way you'll need to sit under the dryer with the product in for at least 15 to 20 minutes. During the week try to cut down on the heat or the amount of product you use. Wrapping your hair or roller set can help reduce the amount of heat you use.

I would recommend that you try the motions line of shampoos and conditioners.
they do not have any of the products that dry out black hair like other shampoos. sodium laurel sulfate dries out hair. also use cpr by motions or mositurich and deep condition with a plastic bag and then a heating cap. this helps the conditioner to get into the hair shaft. then when you rinse out the condition use cool water. this seals it in and makes it stronger. stronger hair will not break. moisturized hair will not break as much. you can still have a relaxer and have long healthy hair but it will require special treatment such as more moisture, less handling, etc/

are you using a heat protection product on your hair before applying any heat-iron, blow dryer, etc?
Use a hydrating conditioner at each washing.
As well as weekly deep conditioning.
Don't take too hot of showers. End each shower with cool water rinse over your hair, seals in moisture and will seal the cuticle closed.
Getting regular trimmings, say every 4-6 weeks to remove dead, split ends.
It can take up to 3 or 4 months to see results and 6-12 months to see growth and the lenght of your hair to increase. Blessings and longer healthier hair in your future! Hope my information was what you were looking for and Helpful!

From experience I would advise you to stop getting relaxers if you have one. They make your hair more brittle. Also condition for at least 20minutes after washing your hair. Keep your hair moisturized at all time to keep it healthy and break free. You should also try breakage free styles like braids or twist with your own hair and wraps. The less you do to your hair the less breakage you will have, You also may want to only wash your hair every two weeks.

It's really hard in the winter because it gets so dry out. I have 3 favorites:
1. Luster: Pink Oil Moisturizer
2. Next Image: Avocado Oil & Shea Butter Glosser
3. Next Image; Avocado Oil & Shea Butter Oil Moisturizer (it's a cream that comes in a bottle shaped like Pink).

I use Creme of Nature Products. You should use a good quality shampoo and conditioner atleast once a week. Wrap your hair with a satin cap, and keep your scalp well moisterized. I only relax my hair every three or four months. And make sure you use a good deep conditioner at least once a month.
