Is it possible to have a T.V. cable connection in an apartment without a land line?

The apartments telephones all go through a central switch line in the office.

Landlines are usually only used for ordering PPV movies. Other fancy digital cable boxes sometimes will do software upgrades over the phone but most update through the stream. Also Tivo boxes use the phoneline too but if we're talking just basic cable then the only thing you have to worry about is PPV. You could still order one over the phone usually at an extra charge but if you don't order PPV movies/events then having just the cable TV line should do you just fine.
