Yes.

I descovered this personally. When I stopped believing in God, and started believing that I was my own boss, that I was born to be a bad person, I started acting like one, to as extent where I scared myself!

First of all the concept of "evil" is such a wishy-washy word. It's a word generated by a judgement of someone or something based on a certain standard of morals or ethics, that not everybody might agree upon.

Another concept is that NOBODY is ever inherently anything, evil or good. If you were you'd have to be evil (for ex.) in every moment of every day, with everything you do... impossible isn't it? You can cultivate a mind full of anger, hatred and harmful deeds and just run around doing that all the time but that doesn't make you inherently "evil". The mind is a thing that arises due to causes and conditions, and is ever-changing, therefore can never be inherently anything.

It sounds like you are confusing humility with evil. If I take the position that I am unworthy, and that I am sinful, then this is humility, the honest assessment of the self whereby we can learn to offer respect and obeisance to those who can teach us the truth. It isn't that I can never become worthy or sinless. It is a realization of position only.

If taken another way, your statement becomes true. If I assess what is good and right in the world, and I am attracted to the opposite, then I can develop the state of mind to act in ways that are considered evil. So, I am taking the position that I prefer to embrace that which is considered evil. Both explanations are a matter of position.

I think The Leviathan has put it into the right context. It is a relative thing. Whats evil to me may be kindness to another. I've heard it said that;

"The thing always happens that you really believe in; and the belief in a thing makes it happen" ~ Frank Lloyd Wright

“Men often become what they believe themselves to be. If I believe I cannot do something, it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe I can, then I acquire the ability to do it even if I didn't have it in the beginning.” ~ Mahatma Ghandi

No. Believing that you're evil will not make you evil, you would already be. Just like the contrary.

The bible says that what we say with our mouths and what we believe in our hearts as true will manifest in our lives. Many times people speak what they keep saying into existence.
I believe there was a study made in a Philippinnes fishing village where there seemed to be a high death count among the population. The authorities were worried that perhaps the waters had tainted the fish in the area or something of that nature. The results turned out quite surprising as they discovered that almost everyone used a popular expression in almost every sentence they spoke. It was the words " killing me " Such as:
The humidity is killing me, today.
You're killing me with your joking.
My old bones are killing me.
This work is killing me.
This was the only explanation as to why everybody was dying, because the fish, the water, the food and the environment all passed the tests.

Of course not.

Reality is objective. If you mean do people who consider themselves act evil, then I guess they'll have a certain idea of their own morality and might say 'since im already evil...' but that doesnt seem to be quite what you asked.

Look at theists who believe they are good - they can be the most intolerant, hateful bigots anywhere - so believing you're good doesnt make it so, does it?

'full of sin'? In whose eyes? 'unworthy'? Of what exactly?

Everything is changeable. And what we think, or believe can be false. If we have been wrong but we try our best to reshape our own disposition, and to master our mind, everything will turn out to be best.
Just as we do nothing but go on doing evil deeds, certainly, we are evil in this life and many lives to come.

...Everyone is evil, whether or not they believe it makes no difference. They don't become evil - everyone is born that way, observe:
...Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
...Romans 3:10-11 "There is none righteous, no, not one; there is none who understands, there is none who seeks for God; all have turned aside, together they have become useless; there is one who does good, there is not even one."

If this is a trick then shame on me but No I don't because the word of God says....as a man thinketh in his heart so is he.To me he already is evil, not will become.
However,none of us is worthy.

Thoughts are things. If someone believes certain things intensely enough and for a long enough period of time, their behavior will follow. You are what you think all day long.

no, we are all evil in our hearts, you dont have to believe you are evil to in fact have an evil heart. we are sinful men and need a savior, and that savior is Jesus Christ who died for our sins and rose from the dead to heaven and offers us eternal life if we just accept him.
