I'm in my school's show choir so we dance && sing && stuff. We have to learn this slowish dance, but we have lots of time to talk to each other. Normaly, I'm good with talking to guys, but since it is just us two holding hands for a couple of minutes, while learning the dance. What can I say or talk about to avoid awkward silences without being corny???

I love to dance as well, and I very much enjoy slow dancing because you can become more intimate with your partner. I tend to talk a lot and it's pretty easy for me to find something to talk about.

My suggestion is to talk about something that would break the ice and perhaps ease the tension of an obvious romantic situation. I usually make fun of how other couples dance, which is usually easy to do. Sometimes, I persuade my partner to join me in slam slow dancing, where we intentionally bump into other couples as if we were slam dancing. That usually gets everyone on the dance floor laughing.

Also, don't take it too seriously. The song only lasts a few minutes, and you will be back into your fast dance element in no time.
