What are some occupations that give out gifts, as a way to say thank you to their clients?

Just about every vendor does this. I've worked in many different industries (property rental, publishing, telecommunications, education, etc.) and everywhere I've worked the vendors give gifts. Most of the time, though, we weren't allowed to accept them.

I'm in the medical field and about the only gifts we can accept are the typical pens and the occasional food catering breakfasts and lunches that they give us.

I work at a grocery store and they gave everyone turkeys for Christmas
