I like this guy but i dont know if he is a player or if he likes me..he always smiles at me and winks at me

Well he smiles at you and winks, so he is interested to some degree. Now if he is a player is not something I can't tell you as you haven't provided enough details. But if you see or know that he has several lady friends then he most likely is a player.

Without more substance, it's difficult to answer. He obviously finds you attractive and perhaps even intriguing. Talk to him and with him, get a feel for him.
An interesting side to this is there's a new book out called Blink. It's by some PhD in psychology or something. The premise of the book is the first 4 seconds that you meet someone, whatever your gut or instinct tells you, that is essentially truth. When you first saw him did you immediately think "player?" If you did, he probably is. I haven't read the book but I thought I'd throw it out there!

the only way to tell if he is a player is to just ask him on a date, let him suggest where to go and see where he would take you! if he suggests somewhere cheap he is a player but if its somewhere miles away he is probably seeing someone and does not want to be seen! Hmm i seem to have a lot of faith in my fellow men lol

why don't one of you initiate a conversation. if he can't hold a conversation because he's too busy winking at you or at other girls, then i wouldnt waste my time.
