Hi,

Whether you lose weight when you exercise is dependent on a few things:
- why you are overweight
- are you eating differently from your cousin
- what is your existing metabolic rate

Would you consider doing a detox to lose weight?

I lost 15kg within 2 mths. You can see my before after photo here:
http://dreamsincredibles.blogspot.com/2005/10/angel-lost-15kg-within-2-months.html

All you need to do is three things.

Number one, follow the detox programme which requires you to change your diet a little bit. Eg, take more vege and less meat and seafoods.

Number two, use 1 minute a day to take some natural health foods consumable even by babies and pregnant women that will enhance the speed and the effect of the detox.

Number three, drink lots of water to flush the toxins out and help your body start to accept water.

And that's it.

The rest is up to you.

So what do you think? ;)

Exercise alone doesn't necessarily lead to weight loss. This depends upon the particular type of exercise you have been doing. Exercise that primarily burns calories (like walking on a treadmill) should lead to some weight loss. But exercising with weights (strength training), while burning some calories, primarily builds up muscle (in effect, fat is being converted into muscle), and consequently you may not notice much loss of weight.
So, your lack of significant weight loss may be related to the type of exercise you have been doing. It could be that your cousin is doing something different--like more exercise of the purely calorie-burning variety, or exercising more frequently than you, or having workout sessions that last longer.
Another factor may be that your metabolism (the rate at which your body burns calories) is different than your cousins. In order for you to start losing more weight, you will probably have to use a combination of exercise plus a sensible change in your diet--the two together may be necessary for you to get the process going well for you.

This is a tough question, because you don't say anything about your diet, or you and your cousin's body types. These things are all important. It's quite likely that you hvae increased your fitness and replaced some fat with muscle.

What's really important here is that you take care of your body. That means eating healthy, drinking enough water, and exercising enough to keep your body healthy. I'd say what's more important is whether or not you feel better then you did 4 months ago.

Jeez i hate people like that. Hope u didnt wager any money.

Looks like theyre not taking in as many calories...so they maybe be bulimic, anorexic, had bypass surgery or on a liquid diet. Thats a no brainer...

Invite then out for dinner and watch the reaction...

Anorexic is going to avoid food altogether. Bulimic will go and disappear after eating. Bypass patient wont be able to eat 1/4 of whats served and Liquid diet people will wolf down everything ridiculously fast, cause theyll be starving to death. Plus eating food will make them gasy and crampy afterwards
