he is listless and he is licking him mouth constantly this has been going on for about 4 hours , he is eating alright but he just seems sick i am 2 hours away from avet any ideas

Salivating (drooling) implies that there might be something stuck in his throat and he can't swallow his saliva. This is a serious medical condition, and he needs to be taken to the vet immediately. There might be other causes of his condition (toothache, swollen throat), but listlessness in a dog is a serious sign, as they don't look sick unless they really are seriously ill. First off, call your vet and describe the symptoms. Most likely, he will insist on seeing your pet. Then bundle up and drive the two hours to get your pet the medical care he really needs!

get driving to that vet! He could die if you don't take him! Give him lots of water. Put him in a crate with a blanket. And drive as quick as you can to that vet. He is very sick.

Start driving! He very well could have ingested something poisonous and while you sit back and watch, it could be damaging his internal organs and cause irreversible damage or death.
Get to a vet ASAP!
