friday is his horse

Three days after he arrived.

If the day he arrives is X, then he leaves on X + 3.

We don't know which friday is a day, or which friday is his transportation. In this case, BOTH could mean his transportation! You did not specify. You did not say he arrives on "a" friday, and you spelled BOTH with a lower case f.
