if your color is dark brown u should put some dark auburn highlight in there that way u won't have to bleach

Based on your description, I think light brown would be a good color to dye your hair. Or you could dye it red, which will show up as a reddish tint on the dark brown which looks kinda nice. Since your hair is dark brown, really light colors like blond would require you to bleach it first, and that causes a lot of damage. Remember though that all dyeing causes a bit of damage so it's better to limit how much you do it.

If your complexion is slightly redish then possibly go for the redhead look. If not i'd say dark blonde or light brown with some highlights

I think u would look originally very pretty w/ dark brown hair, but anyway, you could try bleaching ur hair, if u want that is. OR get a light brown dye...that would look cute!

Dark auburn then maybe eventually a lighter auburn....sounds like you and I have similar coloring. When I was researching haircolor one of the articles I read suggested going back to the color you were at 12-13 years for a natural looking color. For me that was auburn (I took pics to my hair lady) and then I added some blond highlights to my auburn. Goodluck.

You could definitely get away with honey blonde and no one would know that it wasn't your natural color.
