Is it because our politicians no longer work for the people of this country?

Our country's founders revolted for politicians ignoring what the people wanted ("taxation without represention").

From the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to the Brazilian all-you-can-eat steak chain Fogo de Chão to the United Farm Workers, scores of groups weighed in to push for reforms that would have let millions of undocumented immigrants get legal status and allowed foreign "guest workers" to come here temporarily for jobs.

Reform supporters also lobbied Congress to block new border security restrictions passed by the House, which would have made it a felony for undocumented immigrants to remain in the United States. That worried businesses that have come to depend on immigrants to fill jobs, thanks in part to loose enforcement of existing laws against hiring anyone who isn't living here legally.

While groups that advocate tougher border security also lobbied Congress, disclosure forms indicate that effort was outnumbered by a broad coalition of corporations, unions and non-profit advocacy organizations.

"You can see that there's a lot of money spent on both sides, and so you understand why nothing happens," said Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, which advocates for reductions in both legal and illegal immigration. The center opposed the Senate reforms but doesn't engage in lobbying.

"On this issue, all the money is on one side because everybody who has an intense direct interest in the outcome benefits from loose enforcement and more immigration."

I say seal the borders, then begin deportation of all illegal aliens. This nation doesnt need illegal alien labor. Its all smoke and mirrors to line the pockets of the rich,at the expense of the legal tax paying American.

Yes another Boston Tea Party may set things right.Im ready....are you ?

I firmly believe it's b/c they are the only ppl who - after gaining employment into the military or police forces - will do exactly what they are told when they are told to do it without reservations. Americans (at least the ones I know, for the most part) tend to question everything. This is especially true when it pertains to [American] civil liberties. Read into my post whatever you like/care/can. Also, consider the old "life vs.art" imitation question after you've seen Eyes Wide Open or Enemy of the State as opposed to Last Action Hero or Apple Dumplin' Gang.

that's an undemanding one. The deportation will no longer be able to be one hundred%. some people would be waiting to slide in the process the cracks interior the equipment. So all of the excuse-makers will could do is exaggerate the selection who stayed in the back of, and blame them. in case you question me, all and sundry who blames unlawful immigrants for usa's issues would not have lots of a grip on certainty.

the problem is that once they are deported they are usually back in our country within a few weeks. I live in a small town that is heavily populated by known illegals. It is just too hard to stop. They say it will cost too much to build the fences to cover the border. Who knows. I think use fo national guard and US reserves to do teh labor would be financially suited. Possibly even use inmate workers. It will probably not happen anytime too soon.

It almost happen the other day when people began to rush the white house during the war demostration. A few more demostration there may be a war here, like the one in Bagdad. It's apparent to everyone , we as a nation are fed up with being portraide as un-patriotic because we're tired of being treated as morons. We are overtaxed, over billed, or health-care is the greatest in the world, only if you can afford it,our borders to all that want to bring drugs and the ones in charge of protecting them are prosecuted if they do. The ones here workm for very little but manufactuers don't pass the saveings they charge more, the poloticians work for themselves and "THEIR" future children.

Because those undocumented workers are staying/living with/making babies with their documented relatives/friends here in America. Whoever deports the illegals will be voted out of office by a documented latino swing vote. Our republic is broken in that regard.

If you have to ask you just don't understand. You are not important to the government except to generate tax money and vote for them. Nothing else matters to them. I have a lot more to say but I am out of time here.
