Click start > Run > type MSCONFIG

This will brin gup the system configuration tool.

Click startup, and uncheck the real player.

There is a microsoft setting somewhere in the system,
but I always use the easy and better solutions.
Download the freeware small and clean program from

that will give you total easy control -asking,blockin,allow-
at any time .

go into preference / settings should do the trick depending on what version
