Well as far as I know in every state the person getting the ink has to be 18 so there is no consent but the person getting it done. Also the only exception to the law of being 18 is that the parent or legal guardian can sign for a cover up tat of gang related material so yeah SHE NEEDS TO WAIT until SHE IS 18 to make the decision herself but you can be nice and still pay for it, after all you wouldnt want to piss your parents off and have them sue you for it now would you. Besides 2 years will fly and then nobody can hold her back on getting a tat

You have to be 18 and have proof that you live with the person that you're giving consent to. They have to be 15 though I think. Some places wont do the tattoo even if the person is old enough because they may still be growing. But don't go some where that you know is crappy if the good place won't let you get it done yet. It's better to wait for something that's going to be there forever.

Hate to say it, but at least in my area the only people that can sign a consent form for a person to get a tattoo underage is said person's parent or legal guardian. Sisters, brothers, cousins, etc. can't unless they have been deemed the person's legal guardian. Ask your mother or the parental figure to sign for her. If they won't then I think your sister will have to wait until she's older, which is probably a better idea anyway.

You won't be able to sign consent for her because you're her sister. When I was 16 I went to get my ear pierced with my dad's girlfriend (who was 32) and since she was not my mother, father or guardian they wouldn't let her sign off consent.
And I'm pretty sure she would need to be 18 to get a tattoo anyways, at least in most states. Maybe it's different in Michigan though.

I don't know about Michigan but you aren't her legal guardian I am betting and it's parental or guardian consent not sibling just because you are old enough to get one yourself. Make her wait until she is old enough to get one on her own.

you cant take your younger sister to get a tattoo.. one of your parents/gaurdians will need to. they dont care if you are the "big" sister.. you will need to break the promise cause that is against the law. it has to be your legal parent or gaurdian if she is under 18.. not someone onver 18....
plus she needs to be at least 16 wiht a praent there.. most places wont even touch her is she isnt 18 yet. even if a parent or legal guardian is there....

you have to be their parent or legal guardian and the person has to be atleast 16 in most states. don't go behind your parents back and do this. it may seem cool to you now but she should wait until she was 18 years old to get a tattoo.
