Same thing happened to me. I was about your height and fully um... developed by 13 or 14. I only ended up being 5'4 but it took me until 16 or 17 to get that tall. There's really nothing you can do to speed it up but making sure you get all your nutrients and exercise will help you reach your full potential. I was embarrassed by my figure and dieted to try to make my curves (34D at the time) less curvy even though I wasn't fat at all and I still wonder if that may have inhibited my growth.

If you look at how big people grow in the US, compared to other places, you will realize how big a role nutrition plays in how big people grow. If you go to Hong Kong, you will see that the vast majority of people are 5 feet tall, yet when they come to the US, they get bigger (and possibly wider). It is widely known that civilizations, such as the Romans, had people that were much smaller than people today.

Here is a fascinating article on the subject of human height:

While I agree that you shouldn't worry about things you "have no control over," it may be possible that you have some control over it. I would argue the best approach is to do your research, make a best attempt, and leave the rest up to fate.

So do some research on nutrition. The basics would be make sure you are getting lots of protein and vegetables. Cut out junk food. Make every meal count, in terms of nutritional value. Also, exercise and be active (get sun), get vitamins, as these all play a role in stimulating growth.

Finally, you're young so your still growing. You'll be growing until your over 20. Many people have growth spurts that occur later.

Good luck.

Having a tall mom and dad doesnt guarantee that you'll be tall as well, because the genes of several generations before that also play a role in detirmining your height. You still have plenty of time to grow and you've just entered puberty anyway. Im sure you'll soon have your growth spurt. Some people dont have a real growth spurt but slowly but steadily grow and eventually reach thier desired height, so dont lose hope. As for foods that might, eat foods that a have a high protien content eg. lentils, meat eggs....You might also want to get more involved in physical activities such as aerobics...I've heard hanging on a bar heps too (shrugs, not sure about this one..lol)

People do take growth hormone therapy but you would not be a candidate for that. Also, petite women are admired too. Get on with that 14 year old life and enjoy cause it goes by very quickly and will not come again.

relax you still have a few years to grow and i think if you ahvnt gotton your period yet assuming your a girl by your avatar then youll grow for about two years after that, also if you have older siblings ee if they are tall or even your grandparents because the genes could have skipped your parents and down to you

you still have time to grow. Don't worry about things in which you have no control over.
