The point of the question is, what are the real risks? Yes, the public is at an emotioal high with Iraq and approaches the topic subjectively rather than asking the tough question.

We get our soldiers home, but the repercussion could be far more disastrous than completing the mission. - again, you have to take the emotions out in order to answer this question objectively.

It doesn't solve anything, the war is pointless and will not end in victory with our current tactics. Iraq is the modern Vietnam, or even Wild west

If we leave, a dictator will almost certainly come into power, however if we stay we risk a long drawn out fight. I beleive that in Iraq's current state the country is crippled, if we leave it will not be a serious threat in military terms. However the humanitarian problems soon to follow after will be disastrous.

I can see one particluar ethnical group coming to power and committing genocide on the other group.

in conclusion i believe that the whole situation is a huge quagmire that will only end up sucking more men into it from both sides. We need to get out now, although it is abandoning the people of Iraq, we need to be concerned with our own counties in the foremost, and stop meddling in other peoples affairs.

We should have never tried to intervene

Amen. If we pull out, we'll just be encouraging a longer, more brutal war. Lets look back to a few years before WWII. We saw Hitler as a potential threat. We didn't want war. We didn't oppose Hitler while he was still vulnerable, even when we knew the atrocities he was committing in his homeland. We all thought we could all just be friends. You know what? Hitler built a massive army and attacked us. And almost took over the world. All our politicians see the threat in Korea, China, Russia, Iran, and Terrorists. But they just want to be "friends" and "work together". I tell you all, if America continues on the track its on, welcome to World War Three.

Not really! We can exit Iraq and still prevent another haven for terrorists. It requires a full commitment to absolutely demolish any country that harbors terrorists. No occupation, no "nation building", just a commitment that says, "If you harbor terrorists that harm our people, we will destroy you."

liberals go through life with blinders on, they do not want answers, they do not want questions, just their results at any cost. Truth is their worse enemy, next to America.
