My PUPPY lived from a virus called Parvo!!!!! She got better within a day. If you'r dog has this desese bring it to the vet ASAP. If you catch it in time you'r animal will be fine. It is a deadly virus and only puppies can get it. Unless you'r dog didn't get his/her shots. It is very rare for grown up dogs to get it. These are the symthoms for Parvo, thowing-up,Diarea, and is not eating the right way. My dog is a lived because we caught it on time. It's not to late to get you'r pup to the vet.God bless you & you'r dogs !!!!

if you have anything to say or any information please let me know. You can even talk to me if you would like. I have been with my dog during Parvo and we gave her medicane and fluids. ( well the doctor did. )

congrats. now it's important to list the way to prevent parvo. get your puppies vaccinated. parvo is a deadly virus, and the only preventative is vaccines. have your puppy vaccinated on a regular schedule, even if they've had parvo, they will be more susceptible to other viruses like distemper. now that you've had a puppy with parvo, it's important that you do not get another puppy or have a dog around that's not current on vaccines for at least two years. it stays in the ground, and your pup may shed the cells still for another few weeks. parvo can be cured if caught early and taken to a vet that knows how to treat this disease. good luck with your pup, and glad it made it!

i'm glad your dog is okay. my dog got parvo and he had ate rat poison. at the time we didn't know if he had parvo or not so we took him to the vet. he had never had any shots before so thats how he got it. and because the parvo was already in the ground. he stayed at the vet two days. they gave him medicine for the parvo and med. for the rat poison. we had rats and he chewed on the dead rat that had ate the poison. he got better and now he is fine. but then again about 2 months ago he got off his chain or run and we ran over him because our mean german shepard ran him under the vehicle. his eye popped out of its socket. we had to take him to the vet. he had surgery and got a cone around his head for a couple weeks. he lost his eyesight in that eye. i bet that dog has at least a $1500 put into him just in vet bills. he has been through alot and he is only 2 years old. he turned two on January 3. he is a boston terrier. his name is Gipper. he is brindle colored. he is very shy.

Also, it is good to note that Pravo can live in the ground, so if you had a dog with it and it died (or even if it didn't), you need to take extra care with a new dog. An old neighbor had an outside dog (which is stupid to have a pet if you are just going to keep it tied outside), anyway, his dog died of it, they got a new one and within a month it got it too. This stuff is nasty. My wife used to work for a vet down south and they would get dogs in all the time with it and it was a very sad thing to see.

YAY!! I'm so happy that your little fur baby survived. Saving a puppy from Parvovirus is not only rare, but it is expensive! Parvo contagious and is easily spread from puppy to puppy.

I totally agree with you...Parvo is a VERY deadly disease and they can die quickly. I can't stress enough how important it is to GET YOUR PETS VACCINATED! Too many people wait until it's too late.
