On BBQ University dishes are prepared using beef, pork, chicken and others! BBQ is more about the method of cooking than the meat you start with.

REAL BBQ Pork or Beef or the other white meat? Chicken
In each city or state BBQ comes in all shapes and sizes.
Some prefer theirs hot, sweet, smoky, sauced, rubbed and dry.
The meats vary from A to Z.
Pork is most famous in the southeastern part of the United States in Texas they prefer beef. In the mid west chicken might be on the menu since they raise them on the farms.
Meats that are cooked in pits are BBQ'd and also in an enclosed metal cooker that resembles a pit using special woods and coals..
Cooked on a grill or hibachi the meats are GRILLED not BBQ'd.
The USA..is so varied with many ethnic groups it's not where you are from and eating BBQ it's how you add your spices and ingredients to your own taste.
Each person thinks they have the best BBQ....there are many contests in the country with judges who eat their way through piles of ribs, chopped, steaks, wings, legs..etc....and someone is named the BEST for their particular way of cooking the BBQ.
In the end it's the person eating the BBQ who has the last say....YES or NO....
Now it's time for lunch....what will it be Pork, Beef or Chicken..lol???

Well, that's a question that could start some controversy.
It depends on what part of the country you're from.
Texas - Beef, anything else would just be wrong
Tennessee - Pork
Chicken & Fish are just for people who don't want real BBQ (when you're on a diet)

BBQ to me is a way of cooking the meat. So this technique could be used with pork or beef or chicken or what ever meat you have.

Depends where you are. Some areas go for the pork, some the beef. I'm a beef girl.

I don't know where you live, but here in Canada our BBQ's are made of various types of metal. However, we do cook beef and pork on it. Hope this helps

BBQ is both and then some because you forgot chicken, you must not be from Texas, or a meat eater.
