I don't know how much of each but it had rum, amaretto, triple sec, and orange juice. it was very good! but i read in so many places all these different recipies. none of them are the same.

Here I have one..... really really good.... hope this is the one you are looking for....
Sex on the Beach
Serves: 1
3/4 ounce vodka
3/4 ounce amaretto
3/4 ounce orange juice
1/4 ounce cranberry juice
1/2 ounce peach schnapps
Pour all the ingredients except for the schnapps into an ice-filled Collins glass. Stir. Float the schnapps on top. Serve.

You'll find cocktail recipe's are never the same between two sources. This is because someone has a different preference to use instead of something else. Take a bartending course. You'll learn what goes with what and what can be used in it's place. As a result, you'll know the basic recipe and can add to it as all of these other folks have.
The BASIC Sex on the Beach is this:
1 oz Peach Schnapps,
Equal portions of Orange and Cranberry Juice
pour into a Zombie glass. No garnish.
What you have there isn't a sex on the beach. But it does sound nice.

Here's my take on the classic 'Sex on the Beach.' This is the recipe we use at work:
2 count of Midori (melon liqueur)
2 count of peach schnapps
2 count of vodka
2 count of triple sec
2 count of chambord (raspberry liqueur)
Pour all of this into a large iced glass and top with orange juice and a healthy splash of Cranberry - garnish with an orange slice and a umbrella pick - delicious, summer drink!

equal parts Peach Schnapps and Vodka, same as OJ and Cran, flag it with a cherry. Thats it!!

The 'sex on the beach' recipe i enjoy goes as follows: cranberry flavored vodka, cranberry juice (I like cran-raspberry, because it adds a little sweetness or even white-peach cranberry), peach schnapps and a twist of lemon. Shake over ice and enjoy!!!

I believe your recipe is used in most North America,in Europe will be: vodka;peach schnapps equal parts and cranberry juice and orange juice equal parts....Enjoy it!
