Laser eye surgery is very safe nowadays. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges Laser surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Fly2india4health Consultants. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients, as all surgery is not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS.

They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor I personally believe that your Dental surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of Healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

My cousin got her Dental surgery done there and she is more than very happy with the results. She is all praise for Fly2india4health Consultants. She paid just 20% of the cost what she was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for her. Hope this helps

I've not personally tried it, but I've had some friends get the procedure done in the Philippines, in Manilla. They said the doctor and hospital was very modern, clean and everything went great. The cost was under $500 US.

I know India does this as well as some places in Thailand. Indeed, over 45,000 Americans went abroad to get various medical procedures done last year. And almost 400,000 others around the world went to places like India and other countries to get more affordable health care done.

You can search on the Internet for those foreign hospitals that are popular among U.S. citizens and other foreigners. Keep in mind that you generally cannot sue a doctor in another country if the procedure isn't successful. Something to keep in mind and to ask about.

My mom did, but it was for catarax........She saw the whole thing too......I guess you have to be awake, in order for them to do it..... How scary is that?!!! She was given a shot to relax her, of course.... And they also numbed the eye area, so she wouldn't feel anything.......but can you imagine, seeing that knife coming towards your eye, so they could change her lenses?!!! SCARY stuff!!! But, I heard that lazer eye surgery is completely different...That you simply place your head in one of those head compartment's, and the lazer does the work, while your head is in there....... much better than what my mom went through!!! I've heard good things about it, and lots of Famous people and the like are doing it, and they even do it on the old show "Make Overs" ........I dont know why they cancelled that show? We loved watching it! Anyway, I say "Go For It!!!" I've never heard of any problems from anyone having it done, thus far....... So Smile!!!
